Recently, RWA Rail supported National Express in their successful bid for the East Coast franchise, including the development of a future timetable that satisfied the requirements of the DfT. We also supported Laing Rail and MTR in their successful bid for the London Overground franchise. In both cases we have retained an ongoing involvement with operation of the franchises. We are currently working with a bidder for the South Central franchise. We have also expanded our overseas activity recently, and we have recently been heavily involved in bids for the re-franchising of the Stockholm Metro, and currently for the concession to operate the new Dublin Metro North. We have developed our offering from performance modelling using RailSys, to a complete package of services, including running time calculations, service specification, timetable development, rolling stock diagramming (using DISPO), train crew diagramming (using TrainTRACS^TM) and general operational advice and support. The nature of our offering means that we can free-up valuable resources within the bidding group, to concentrate either on more strategic elements of the bid, or, in the case of incumbent operators, to continue with day-to-day operations.
